Course description
This course continues the effort begun in MDP 261A. In MDP 261A we develop a Business Process Architecture. In this course we extend the architecture to provide an enterprise-wide performance measurement system. We also consider how companies can organize process governance systems and how they can develop performance measurement systems for process managers and sponsors. (Both are loosely based on a Balanced Scorecard approach.) In addition, we consider the various roles that a BPM Center of Excellence can perform and discuss how the process architecture, process measurement system and process governance system can be used by the Center of Excellence to coordinate and prioritize an organization’s process initiatives.
Who should attend
This seminar is designed for managers of organizations that seek to move beyond departmental process improvement initiatives and establish an enterprise-wide understanding of process and an enterprise-wide approach to process management and measurement. This BPM course is a must for business and IT strategists and managers, as well as architects, analysts and designers involved in process-managed organizations, process-based change, and automation of process solutions. Process stewards/owners, program managers, change agents and organizational design professionals will all benefit from the content and interaction.
